Ashwagandha –

Ashwagandha, also known as India’s ginseng is an herb that has been used in the Indian Ayurvedic treatment for many years now.  The word Ashwagandha has a really unique meaning to it too.“Ashwa” means and “Gandha” means, It refers to the strong and the unique smell of a horse and also about his strength. The plant basically is a shrub which has a lot of medicinal properties. Since about 3000 years, it has been used to treat a variety of ailments. It is also often referred to as one of the most important herbs in Indian Ayurvedic medicine. 

Benefits Of Ashwagandha:  

  • Anti Cancer Properties – There have been studies and tests on animals which have successfully shown that Ashwagandha has cancer-fighting properties. It does that by inducing Withaferin A which could fight the cancer cells in rodents. However, there has not been much study about human beings. 
  • Reduces Stress and anxiety – This is what Ashwagandha is probably the most used for. It could block the stress pathway to the brain and help reduce stress in humans. 
  • Boosts Testosterone – Taking Ashwagandha to boost libido has been going on for a long time now. There have been certain studies to back this though. 
  • Could Help Reduce Blood Sugar Levels – There have been certain reports which suggest that Ashwagandha has been able to reduce the blood sugar levels in both healthy and diabetic patients.

Rhodiola, scientifically known as Rhodiola Rosea is a herb that grows mainly in the regions of Europe and Asia.
